I&RS/504

In the Middle School, the I&RS/504 committee meets each month of the school year. The I&RS is a group of professional educators who convene at the request of either a family or staff member for the purpose of determining if special accommodations are needed to help the student be successful enough to pass his/her academic subjects. The committee then recommends what modifications would be most effective. Each committee is composed of one of the student’s teachers from the grade level team, Guidance, the School Nurse, the SAC, a CST representative and administration. Parents are invited to participate as well. Simply put, our mission is to assist staff with developing strategies, modifications, and/or accommodations that will supplement our teaming philosophy and promote increased success for at risk students
