About The Teacher

Mr. Zwarych is in his seventh year with the Hackettstown School District, currently serving as the Director of Bands at Hackettstown Middle School, where he conducts four curricular bands, various extra-curricular ensemble and teaches 6th Grade General Music. Additionally, he also volunteers as director of the Hackettstown High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble.

 

Mr. Zwarych is also active in local and state professional organizations as well. He is currently serving as the Recording Secretary for the North Jersey School Music Association and as the Percussion Coordinator for the Warren County All-Star Band.  Additionally, Mr. Zwarych conducted the North Jersey Area Band Percussion Ensemble in 2017, has served as the High School Percussion Ensemble Manager in 2018, and conducted the North Jersey Junior Area Band Percussion Ensemble in 2023.  He has presented professional development sessions for his middle school colleagues here in Hackettstown, and for his musical colleagues from around the tri-state area at the New Jersey Music Educators Association convention and at North Jersey School Music Association professional development events.

 

Outside of school, Mr. Zwarych enjoys composing and performing, cooking, working on his house and spending time with his wife and two beautiful children.
