Mrs. Lashevicki's 5 gr World Cultures & 6, 7 & 8 gr Spanish classes!

Our MIDDLE SCHOOL curriculum begins with a 5 gr. World Cultures Introduction class, which is then followed by our 6,7& 8 gr. SPANISH classes. Our Spanish Curriculum gradually ascends into rigorous grammatical content in order to prepare our students for High School.  We also incorporate diversity and
multiculturalism in our lessons & classroom. 

 

GRADING POLICY: Summative 50%, Diagnostic 15%, Formative 30%, Benchmark 5%

BILINGUAL BENEFITS:

A bilingual brain is nimbler, quicker and more able to deal with ambiguities or resolve conflicts. The brain of a bilingual speaker can resist Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.  Has a positive effect on intellectual growth and enriches and enhances a child’s mental development.  On average, bilinguals earn
more money than monolinguals. 

 

CLASSROOM RULES/EXPECTATIONS:

* Enter the classroom respectfully and be ready to work.
* Be respectful to each other/belongings, including our classroom. Keep your hands to yourself.
* Late assignments will be given partial credit.
